Short of time right now as not only am I knee deep in polishing off the manuscript but also we have a new Manchester gym to open in a few weeks time!
However, I thought I’d bring this blog fully up to date with where are with Joe’s progress – literally at day 50 so 7 weeks done.
Let me know what you think of his progress and very soon I’ll explain a few key strategies that have helped to produce a different looking, and I think better, physique in a time frame that I have to admit is startling even to me!
let me know your feedback / thoughts in the comments section below, and if you haven’t signed up to the box on the right or looked to pre-order in Amazon and be eligible for the competition then what are you waiting for!
Hi Nick
What have you done with Joes shoulders this time?! He looks more stacked already compared to 12 weeks last time.
shoulders are pumped in this pic so that makes a difference, plus the book is all about specialisation so we have focused extra workouts (all from the book) on areas that I feel will help create a better final cover shot – his deltoids being a prime example.
The transformation is absolutely amazing!!! I’m currently a customer of the UP online training program. Nick, is the program and protocol that you are currently using with Joe similar to the UP online program and protocol?
I would say no because 1) I can adapt Joe’s workouts on the fly, 2) Joe is adhering to everything I ask of him and following the diet to the letter.
If your online program is being done properly (which I hope it is!) then your trainer will have adapted the protocols around the information that you have given him. That may mean he foes harder/easier/has to avoid certain things etc
Does Joe have shoulders at different height? If yes, how is his training affected by that?
just his posture, doesn’t impact his actual training other than me tweaking a few exercises that don’t suit him too well.
Hi Nick,
Being a skinny fat, did Joe have bad posture before this or the previous transformation?
before both…after his first transformation he quickly regressed as he pretty much did nothing to keep it up.
Thanks, so do these workouts help to correct the posture? Mine is awful so I’ll be following this closely ready for the release!
All sensible training will help improve the posture although there is nothing in the book that is specifically aimed at that.
That is jaw dropping! Well done both of you!
Hi Nick, Great results so far.
Out of curiosity, while the results are great- surely muscle memory has played a HUGE part- regardless of the fact he’s been untrained for a couple of years?
I would say it plays ZERO role. He trained for 12 weeks and then didn’t train for almost 3 years, there’s no muscle memory when something was so short term. What he has benefitted from is “psychological memory” of the process.
Hi – that is a fantastic result after only 50 days. Amazing!
I literally only just found out about this and was surprised to see Joe’s physique in the Day 1 photo. I thought Joe might push on from the 2012 Men’s Health cover transformation. Why do you think he didn’t he didn’t push on and do you think he’ll let himself go back to that Day 1 photo after the 12 weeks are over?
Only time will tell if he slips back to his (bad) old habits.
